The cult glass of the Palatinate!
The story of this special glass is of a rather rustic, but entirely believable nature. It is said that there was once a butcher in Bad Dürkheim who also enjoyed a good drop of wine while slaughtering. However, he had a problem with his greasy hands, the glass kept slipping out of his hand. This is how the idea of the “Dubbe”, the classic indentations in the dub glass, came about. The problem was solved for the butcher and, by the way, he made history in the Palatinate wine culture. Of course, the dub glass has its special practical aspect, but today it is essentially the special figurehead in the Palatinate region due to its appearance.
